Cubby Classroom shows a teacher the Chromebooks in front of the class, one tile per student, and gives the school a web filter by grade. It runs only during school hours, only on Chromebooks the school manages, and students always see when a teacher is looking.

In the classroom
A live view of the class
Every student is a tile with a small picture of the screen, the site on it and whether the Chromebook is online, idle or locked.
Eyes up
One button pauses every screen with a short message until the teacher gives the screens back. Tabs stay exactly as they were.
Focus mode
The teacher picks the sites for the lesson, and only those open until focus mode ends. Signing in to school accounts always works.
Open a site for everyone
Type an address once and it opens in a new tab on every Chromebook in the class.
Close a tab
Close one student's tab, or every tab on one site across the class, with an Undo if it was the wrong one.
A timeline for each student
Tap a tile to see the sites that student visited since the class opened, with the time of each.

A web filter by grade
Block kinds of sites such as games, social media and video for some grades, and keep a list of sites that are always open or always closed.

School hours only
Nothing about a screen is seen or kept outside the school's hours or on days the school is closed. The filter keeps working at home.
