The health office

A complete health office record, for full-time nurses and nurses who serve several schools.

Rostra Nurse records visits, medications and immunizations in one secure place. It works as well for a nurse who divides time between buildings as it does for a full-time nurse.

Start with Nurse

$300 a year on its own, for the whole school, or part of the Campus package. No other app is required. What it costs

  • A complete visit record
  • Corrections added, never overwritten
  • Follow-ups that return

Many health products assume one full-time nurse in every school. Rostra keeps the school’s own record complete, however the nurse’s time is scheduled.

A typical day with Nurse

How your team uses it throughout the day.

  1. 9:00 am

    Morning medications

Each scheduled dose shows as due, late or given. As-needed medications stay off the list.

  2. 10:40 am

    A student visits

The nurse records the reason for the visit, the student’s temperature and who was contacted.

  3. 10:52 am

    Sent home

The family receives an email, and the teacher’s attendance updates to show the student has gone home.

  4. 1:00 pm

    An allergy alert

Teachers see only the alert the nurse has marked as visible, with the instructions they need.

  5. 3:15 pm

    Immunization review

The nurse reviews which students are up to date and which records are still needed.

Features

Visits

A complete visit record

Record who came in, when, why, what was done, who was contacted, and where the student went next.

Corrections added, never overwritten

Changes are recorded below the original entry, so the history remains reliable.

Follow-ups that return

A student who needs to be checked again later in the day appears on the list at the right time.

Families notified when it matters

Notices are off by default for minor visits. When a student is sent home, picked up or taken by ambulance, the family is always notified.

Medications

Scheduled doses with a clear status

Each dose shows as due, late or given against the order, with a grace window so a dose given a few minutes late is not flagged.

As-needed medications kept separate

As-needed doses have no due time and never appear as late, so the medication list stays accurate.

Order limits enforced

Rostra blocks a dose that exceeds the daily limit or falls within the minimum interval. Recording it anyway requires a deliberate second step.

Every outcome recorded

Refused, absent and held are recorded as outcomes, so there are no unexplained gaps in the log.

Consent forms at a glance

Each dose shows whether the signed authorization form is on file.

Immunizations and reporting

Status for every student

See who is up to date, exempt, provisional, or missing records.

Exemptions require documentation

An exemption without supporting documentation stays on the follow-up list until it is received.

Annual reporting support

Rostra totals the student groups used in annual immunization reporting and shows how many days remain to file.

Privacy and access

Protected on the server

Health records cannot be read directly from a browser. Every request is checked on the server against your school’s settings.

A separate nurse role

The nurse role does not include device or behavior access, and administrator accounts do not receive health access automatically.

Administrators control access

Administrators decide who else may view health records, and every change to that setting is recorded.

Limited information for teachers

Teachers see only the life-threatening alerts the nurse marks as visible, limited to the label and the instructions.

A reason when your policy requires one

If your school requires it, staff must give a reason before opening a record, and the reason is saved with their name and the time.

What it does not do

Clear limits, so your school knows exactly what to expect.

  • Rostra Nurse holds health information, so it requires a signed agreement with your school before it stores real records.
  • It does not set your retention period. Your school chooses how long records are kept, and the screen makes that clear.
  • It is not a clinical tool and does not give medical advice. It is a record of the health office’s work.
